Experiencing a heightened level of anxiety after a significant event such as the recent storms we’ve seen is not uncommon, especially when it starts to rain again. If we can’t control Mother Nature, how can we help ourselves cope with the worry we may experience this summer season? Here are a few suggestions.

High-functioning Anxiety
High functioning anxiety- not a real diagnosis, but what does it mean? For most, this usually means you are still able to have a high level of functioning, such as taking care of all of your responsibilities and going to work, but underneath it all, you may be anxious and overwhelmed, struggling with worry and negative thoughts frequently.
